Tribute to Amb. Maitama Sule by Dantala Kabir (D-Kabir)

There lived an octogenarian,
who had seen all the ills and walks of life,
from the difficult hardship of marriage

to the rigorous stress of study,
from the soaring price of commodities,
to the abhorrent loss of vision.
In some moments he attains happiness,
at times his days were fill with pity for the nation.

Despite the terrain nature of life,
slow and steady he moves like a kid,
although the road to success was bad,
showing non-challant attitude was the key.

As a toddler he was dependent,
in his teen age he became steadfast,
as a youth he was responsible and resourceful,
in old age he became a man full of wisdom.

His best lesson was never give up,
honesty and justice he preaches wherever he goes,
the fear of God was his emblem
and good relation with people was his passion.

Life itself is a cycle which must come to pass,
From birth to death,
And from womb to tomb,
He has surely live a life,
And surely death has outlive him,
Life is a stage that must be visited.
From the date of birth,
To the date of death,

Your teachings and lessons shall remain in the annals of history.
Rest in peace.
He is my role model; Amb. Yusuf Maitama Sule
