AKINTUNDE
In my last dream
I saw a boy and a girl
In thick, heavy, brown clothings
Their hair scanty and unkempt
They were doing the agro in the ancient way
Hitting things to reveal their content
Kernel of palm very hard
They looked like slaves
The boy got to a spot and sank very sharp
His name was Akintunde
Akintunde, the brave one has come again
The girl looked so blank
Maybe seeking what went wrong deep in her
It was an old woman narrating to an old man
I heard her voice so clear sayin that
The land has swallowed Akintunde
What a pain in hell?
Where is the girl's partner?
Could it be the woman's son?
Could the man be the father?
Akintunde!!!
Where are you?!!!
It's a must now that I ask
You appeared in my dream
Now my friend so close to my heart
Oh you mother Earth
I have a new friend and his name
Akintunde, the god of the land
Akin,
I want to see you again
Other Earth
Could you vomit Akintunde
Now that I'm awake
You have my blessings wherever you are now
And...
I love you Akintunde, the god of land
You took away a lot
come back with 'em
Or send 'em to me
With your sign on 'em
Your hands if not you
My Akintunde, the brave
