VISIONARY by Dauda Onawola
VISIONARY
Not only the one with eyes
Yet the only one that sees
Following my instincts sternly
Not only the one with eyes
Yet the only one that sees
Following my instincts sternly

PHOENIX100: EULOGY TO MY AUNT
CRYSTAL
First of her kind, first of her name, first of her star
Best of her presence, best of her being, best of her line
First of her kind, first of her name, first of her star
Best of her presence, best of her being, best of her line

PHOENIX99: POEM BY MANY POETS
TO THE LORD FOR MY WORDS...
DAUDA ONAWOLA:
To God, Lord of all worlds
I pray for my pen to utter such words...
That listeners in the crowd
hear her whisper so loud
That assume the critical dimension
which on perception ease hearty tension
That reach receiving minds
in same form it left behind
That open the eyes of the blind
painting feelings in cornucopia with lines
HASSAN TEMITOPE:
That doctor the ill thought-house of cynic Thomas
to let-off inferring not as rass
That cause genocide to the soul of morons
to seek refuge in the land of Solomon
SALAKO SIJUADE:
That which with great tiding
In it coming the timing
ANIMASHAUN NASIRUDEEN:
That strike love in the heart of the heartless
not forgetting to inspire the motherless
DAVID ADEDOKUN:
That places hope side by side with clouds for eyes to gaze on
That sprouts out so green on the field for mouths to graze on
AYUBA MUHYIDEEN KOLAWOLE:
That renews the mind of man for long life
That bangs the ears like a toned fife
KOMOLAFE JOHN:
That pierces the heart like a two edged sword and leaving the cure in a pleasing word.
That strike the deaf with lethal touch seeking a meaningful world.
YUNUS ABDULWAKEEL OLAWALE:
That makes a thunderous silence in the art of penning constitute a stormy debate in the heart of readers
That shall update the obsolete on the reality of life
ADEGOKE TAOHEED:
That shows the thirsty blind man the gurgling ocean in the desert
That makes hypaethral the problems that solution defect
