BE WISE IN CHOOSING YOUR FRIENDS!
Allah the most high said, "Now, then, we have none to intercede (for us), Nor a single friend to feel (for us).'' (Ash - Shu'araa 100-101)
Al-hasanul Basri said regarding the above verses in his tafsir: this would be on the day of Judgement after the dwellers of Jannah have been admitted therein and the dwellers of Hell have been admitted
therein, a man from the dwellers of Jannah would say, "My Lord, where is my partner so and so, where is my friend so and so, I didn't see him amongst us in Jannah," he would be said to, "he is in Hell" then he would say, "he is a believer Oh Lord, verily nothing would complete my happiness in Jannah except my association with my friend in it''. Then Allah would order his friend be removed from Hell and admitted into Jannah. After that friend of his entered Jannah, the dwellers of Hell would then say, "Who admitted him into Jannah, does he have any good deed?", they would be replied, ''no'', then they would say "is his father or brother a martyr?" they would be replied, ''no'', then they would ask "did the prophets and messengers intercede on his behalf?" they would be replied, ''no'', then they would say "who was it that interceded for him?" they would be replied "his friend so and so interceded for him''.
Then the dwellers of Hell would say, "Now, then, we have none to intercede (for us), Nor a single friend to feel (for us), Now if we only had a chance to return we shall truly be of those who believe!'' (Ash - Shu'araa 100-102)
Meaning "we don't have any intercessor nor a close friend. Oh, had it been we would be returned to the world, we would surely be among the believers (this time).
As such, you should be wise in selecting your friends in the world, keep a lot of good (pious and conscious of Allah) friends because they would be intercessors on the day of judgement. Also one is woken (from death) along with whom he loves just like the Prophet told us.
